How to Password Protect an Excel Spreadsheet

If you have a Spreadsheet like below and need to send it somewhere it will need protecting, easiest way to do that is to password protect it.

 

  1. Go to File.

  2. Click on protect workbook.

  3. Click on encrypt with password.

  4. Enter password and click OK, then reenter the password and confirm that window.

  5. Make sure you save the document to keep the password settings.
