To start an Observation or Self-Evaluation, click Records (A1) > Observation / Self-Evaluation List tab (A2).
This page should then display all Records you have access to, either where:
-You are the Observer / Owner
-You are being Observed
-A Faculty, Subject or member of Staff is being observed and you have permission to view.
To start a Record, click on the Record Name (A3) > Start (A4).
The Record will then open, allowing you to complete the Fields / Focus Areas.
Some areas will be pre-completed, based on selections made when the Record was created (e.g. Observer List, Faculty/Subject/Staff to be observed, Class, and any Class Contexts, if available).
At the bottom of the Record, you have the option to
Cancel, Save or Save & Close:Cancel (A5) – Closes the Record, losing any changes you have not saved.
Save (A6) – We recommend using this frequently as you complete the Record, to save as you go and ensure changes are not lost.
Any changes made (originally highlighted in yellow) will no longer be highlighted once saved.
This will also amend the status of your Record to ‘Draft’, and enable the Publish button (if a Record date has been entered).
Save & Close (A7) – Saves your changes and closes the Record, taking you back to the Record Details page.
